On first wear, walking 7 hours on uneven terrain, beating through steep woods, brambles and wet fields absolutely wonderful. No rubbing, well supportive, warm and dry. Applied Crispi waterproofing conditioning cream before wearing, which does darken the colour of the boot. Personally I needed to size up from my usual size which felt too tight. Exchange process was simple, thank you Diane for the information on returning. You do have to pay postage for any returns.

Bought a Zeis/Leica rail mount for my R8.
Bought a Swarovski rifle scope. I bought it at the advertised price, there was also a ‘free gift’. This gift was a lens cover for this scope. However when the scope arrived there was no cover. When I spoke to Cluny’s I was told that at the price I paid, the cover would be extra., but I paid the advertised price.. so I’m not sure why the free gift is on there. Maybe I did something wrong when ordering. Fantastic rifle scope, it now adorns my Sako 22-250.

Bought these last minute as my old shooting trousers had a hole in them. Wore them for the first time today and they help up well. Quick drying, comfortable and plenty of room in the pockets for cartridges and everything else I needed to take for my dog. They kept me dry even in the boggiest of conditions. Easy to clean and I’m sure they’ll last me a few seasons. Great value for money.

I only used the boot's yesterday. When I received them I was disappointed with how short the heel was.Thinking on down hill walking thay would be sliding. But on my day out stalking thay were amazing in all respects. And super comfortable. Better than my meindl drove. Thanks.
I've not shopped with Cluny Country before, but their price for the Blaser shooting sticks was very good. The on line purchase was simple and the sticks arrived the next day, having come more than 500 miles from Scotland to the West Country. These boots are great! The first time I used them was for a 12K hike covering a variety of terrains, much of it wet and muddy. They're incredibly comfortable and supportive, and didn't let a drop of water in. I'd definitely recommend them
Had these Mergers for a couple of weeks. I tried the 50mm versions on loan but found them too bulky for the rigours of woodland and farm stalking. This smaller, lighter version is superb. Long battery life, easy to navigate menu, and brilliant image quality. Half the price of their big brothers. Particularly useful in the woods in very low light conditions. Having used a thermal monocular I have found that the binos don't compromise one's dominant eye reaction, meaning there is no noticeable eye adjustment when changing from the TI to the rifle scope for very quick target acquisition (if that makes sense!). Cluny Country are a great outfit, friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

This was a really well run event with an informal light touch; a generous allocation of ammunition and supremely well informed and helpful hosts. The selection of rifles available for trial was right the way through the price range and all were fitted with the best optics. The morning was safe, informative, superb value for money and most of all great fun. A big thank you for my invitation to the team. All I need to do now is save up to buy the rifle of my choice now my appetite for a thoroughly modern, accurate upgrade has been whetted.
This is a lovely piece of kit. Did not think it overly expensive. You get what you pay for. Reduces weight from rifle and easily carried in jacket pocket. So lite you don't know it's there. Top class. Thankyou.
