***Sales Executive***

 There is now an exciting sales vacancy within Cluny Country Store, for a dynamic sales person based initially on outdoor & hunting clothing. With a continued and extensive growth in sales both online and in store, we are looking for an ambitious candidate to join us and help develop our business.

 Working together with a close-knit team, the successful candidate will have real opportunities for progression within the company, specifically within the outdoor clothing side of the business.

 Necessary Skills & Experience:

 The successful candidate will be competent with front line sales (proven experience preferred), including dealing with the public, excellent communication skills, problem-solving and a fantastic telephone manner.

 They will be computer literate with excel, word and social media competency as essentials. Previous website management, blog writing and/or photo-shop experience are all highly advantageous.

 Candidate MUST have their own mode of transport.

 Role:

 Initially, the remit will cover responsibility for all outdoor clothing sales. The successful candidate will be required to know and understand all of our clothing and footwear lines and products, and most importantly, actively sell them.  Once established and competent in the selling role, the successful candidate, will be expected to become involved with the organisation, marketing, (in store and online) and ultimately the buying for, and management of, the whole clothing division.

 The level of responsibility given will be tied to the successful candidate’s ability, performance levels, and desires. 

 Secondary roles may become available within the optics and firearms divisions, once all aspects of the clothing division have been organised and mastered, - but the primary role will always be in the clothing division.

 Day to day jobs will initially include:

  • Management of sales in store & online. This will encompass one to one customer sales, regular email marketing, and social media management. (brand training will be provided)
  • Website management, maintaining shop floor displays, stock checks, and processing deliveries
  • Involvement/influence with the buying process and decision making
  • Specific sale implementation

 Desired Characteristics:

  •  Natural, confident sales ability with a desire to learn
  • Previous sales experience (ideally involved clothing retail)
  • Capable of working independently
  • Able to Multi task and adapt quickly
  • Enthusiastic, creative, self-motivating mindset
  • Use to handling pressure
  • Keen to learn and progress
  • Interests/experience in outdoor recreation favorable (fishing, walking, hunting, dog trialing etc)

 About Us:

 Cluny Country Store is a family owned (and run) retail outlet and online shop. We specialise in the sales of outdoor & hunting clothing, sports optics (for hunting & nature) and we are a registered firearms dealer majoring in shotguns, rifles, and ammunition.

 We now require a dynamic, focused, and driven individual to help us grow the clothing division within our business.  To this end, we are creating a new sales executive position, and invite anyone interested in this post to apply to us.

Prior experience will be helpful but is not absolutely necessary.

 Location:

 Our premises are located on Bowhouse farm, Kinglassie, Fife, around 3 minutes off of the A92 just outside of Kirkcaldy. This is easily accessible from Edinburgh (40 minutes). This role will be based here full time, commuting is essential (there is no public transport direct to our location).
